Our Mission  

Little Angels Learning Center provides a Christian interactive learning environment that is safe, loving, and prepares your child for later success in school and life .

Goals

Little Angels Learning Center goals are to:

• provide a low teacher to student ratio
• have a loving environment not just for the children but also for the parents
• provide a hands on learning curriculum through
  • Interactive book reading
  • Dramatic play
  • Music
  • Art
  • Curiosity play  (basic science)  

Curriculum Goals

All curriculums will teach about how things work, about the world, and the environment through monthly themes.  Age appropriate bible stories will relate to each monthly theme.

• promote problem solving skills
• increase each child's vocabulary
• provide opportunities learning how to follow directions and be a good listener
• enhance fine and gross motor skills
• promote positive self esteem

18 months - 2 1/2 years old Classroom Goals

• counting 0-5
• exposure to the different holidays
• introduction to sequencing in ordinary life (order of classroom routines)
• basic shapes and colors

2 1/2 - 3 1/2 years old Classroom Goals

• exposure to the alphabet
• counting 0-10
• shapes and colors
• exposures to the calendar and the different holidays

3 1/2 - 5 years old Classroom Goals

• the alphabet (letter recognition and letter sounds)
• writing skills (letters and numbers)
• counting 0-20 and number recognition
• shapes and colors
• awareness of calendar (months and days of week)

  Guidance and Discipline Policy

We will use children's individual schedules and our plans for daily activity schedules to help guide and direct the children's behavior.  If inappropriate behavior happens in the classroom, we will redirect in a positive manner.  All appropriate behavior will be recognized and encouraged.

Security

For your child's security, we will open the doors at 8:55am for everyone to enter and at 9:15am, we will lock the doors.  Parents are welcome to visit or observe at anytime.  A doorbell at the outside door will alert us to your presence.  Each family is required to sign their child in and out upon arrival and departure.  You will be asked to leave a phone number where you may be reached during Learning Center hours.

School Schedule

We will follow the Temple ISD schedule for school closings.
