  We at First Lutheran Church are mission minded and believe that each and every one of us is called to discipleship and to be good stewards.  God's people are identified in various ways in the Bible, such as God's children, followers, disciples, stewards and the like.....  Jesus also told his disciples, "Go therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."  

What does that mean to us?  

There is no way that any one person or congregation can accomplish this on their own.  However, by pooling our resources, our talents, our time and our efforts, we can reach out to the entire world and share the great love that God has shown to us in that He gave His only begotten Son to die for the sins of the entire world.

Some of us don't have financial resources but we do have time and or unique talents that can be used for the glory of God.  The reverse is also true.  However each of us can practice good stewardship.  CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP is the free and joyous activity of the child of God and God's family, the church, in managing all of life and life's resources for God's purposes.

Being led by God and in the power of the Holy Spirit, we minister to one another within the church family, and as a congregation, practice good stewardship with all of life's resources in ministering to others here in the community, in the state, in the country and abroad.
